ok let me explain a bit more, what i am trying to do is run in/set up a spare engine without having to take the current engine out of the ped. i have been trying to build an engine test bed but the wiring is my criptonite, now i am thinking that if i set the spare engine up on a stand and then just disconnect the other engine that is in the bike and patch the wires from the cdi from bike to engine plug on stand engine. basically do i just have to disconnect things like the cdi the coil and make sure that there is a good earth between the stand engine and the bike engine. if any of that made any sense to any body could the please explain it better to me please???? many thanks RCT
buy a rota kit lol. you can do it but would be a pain in the ass, why do you need to run the second engine if it's not in a bike, build the engine right and use good parts and it will be fine when you need it. you cant set roller or jet the carb unless the engine is under load(on the road) so there is no real point/reason to have a way to parch it over.
