What helmet do you have? And why?

Maybe a stupid asking why but I've heard of people wearing open face helmets just coz the smoke lol

    I've got a duchinni d701 and a bks burnout which I got today :)

There's my 2, the duchinni one was my first so didn't really know that much about helmets,
The bks I got because it has more padding, dual visors so I don't have to keep switching to tinted etc,

Only wear full face for obvious safety reasons :)

I got a Box Helmet... got it to match my Bike, came with a Clear Visor, I did have a tinted Visor for it, and then a Silver Mirror Visor.. now I got the Iridium Visor to match my Exhaust :)

Correct me if I'm wrong someone, but if its not acu approved its not road leagle?

Tbh crosser helmets are good, but when your going over a certain speed they pull your head back because of the peak, should get a dual helmet, crosser helmet with a visor

    This ones an example lol

The modular helmet, and particular reason why you chose that style? :)

yeah they have to be approved with the sticker? otherwise theyre not legit but police dont bother checking much anyway aslong as you have a tidy looking helmet on its usually fine, i rode around with a downhill mtb full face helmet on for first week, passed loads of police, never had a issue, then i got smart and got my GMAC.
track days? cheap ? they dont mix ;) lol

lol valid point. but didnt have much cash at the time, and decided to get one. more money to go towards a track day. but it hasnt materialised anyway and it meant it cost me less to get the ped on the road

I have a black & yellow Arashi and an old Shoei XR.
Would kill for a nice Arai though

it meets all standards and i doubt lidl would sell something un safe. i dont see how its any different to a 200 quid one on that front

it might meet the standards but usually with a more expensive one, theyll last longer and give more protection in a crash, im looking into doing track days and doing proper racing at the moment and ive learnt alot about protection etc, id rather spend that £200 and know my heads going to be ok afterwards, cheap helmets are good and i prefer my GMAC for on road, but if i go to a track, im wearing my arai

Either way, modulars and open face aren't as safe as full face :)
