I'm looking to buy a helmet and i only want to spend around £50 i've seen a helmet on E-Bay, it's by a make called ''Jag'' apparently owned by nitro are these legit: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JAG-PREDATOR-Moto ... dZViewItem Anyone else got a helmet they could recommend for that price in all black? Thanks for any help.
you realf feel that your life is worth 50 pounds? go save some money and buy a real helmet that wont crack like a walkers crisp when you crash.
for a scooter that should be fine its BS approved so is road legal and is ACU Gold Approved which is basically for racing but dont be fooled its obviously not going be as good as an agv. shoei, arai, caberg etc
Ok, thanks for the reply.. i just want to know that this JAG company are deffinately legit, like these arent shitty copies that will shatter or anything. cos that wouldnt be good. anyways once ive got a job when im 16 and got some money i will buy something like an AGV or similar anyway. Thanks Also anyone else got any good helmets they can recommend for a decent price, preferably all black ?
HJC, i'v got one, had it for about a year and i'v lost count of how manytimes it's been dropped but its all good so far besides a couple of faint scratches, it's light too, only cost me £90 on sale from £200
Right, after jamies little comment.. i've decided im gonna fork out a bit more money for a decent helmet.. i like the look of the Caberg V2, its different to what all my mates have got (nitros) so can anyone recommend this ? comfortable fit etc. Thanks for any replys Matt.
i got a caberg , its good , i reckon the flip down sunvisor is well handy.. id miss it if i bought a diff helmet. .
Jamie is Right, IMO u need to spend more than £100 on a helmet, in the end of the day ur helmet cud b the differance in life or death
as long as it has the legal sticker ma thingi ma bob. i dont really see difference on a scoot tbh. maybe if have got a bigger bike or something ehich can build up a few mph might be worth getting something good. i like the look of the caberg trip in matt black myself.
its not also about just buying a £20 lid or a £300 lid have you tried one on? The fit is the most important thing! and persoanlly, id spend a bit more money on a comman make such as agv / hjc / suomy without having to spend top dollar.
When topics like this come up i always think how much is your life worth to you?? I would not think twice into paying loads of money IE £200+ for a crash helmet over spending £50 on a shitty thing! (my opinion)
bought a £30 brand new "syko" lid from M and P s (major reatiler) and it lasted last then 3 weeks before all the linings "unglued themselves to the fibreglass shell" the shitty breath prevent thing was shit lasted less than an hour before I binned it, was sharp and didnt work and kept falling out, honestly spend as much money as you possibly can and I bet you your life it will be worth it in the end!!! couldnt give a fuck if I died or not tbh, its just the quality of the linings and comfort is what I care about... rather be scumming it over the twisty bends, than fusspotting around with a lid that falls apart when it sees the first glimnce of condensation
I got my £50 (In a sale and I blagged him down a tenner, so should of been £80) Takachi TK-37 and its perfect If you got some time to spare read this... http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/gearbox/motorcycle_helmet_review/ By all means don't buy a cheapo helmet, but also don't be conned into thinking that a £300 helmet is necessarily going to protect you more than a £100 helmet. true wat james said, and yeah it should be replaced if dropped but hey. did have a caberg v2 for about two months but had toi give it back to my mate when i first started riding, must say the flipdown sun visor is wicked and felt a bit unconfortable not having it there when i got my helmet. been on the lookout for the sun/moon graphic helmet lately, can't remember the make now.
I got the exact same helmet that is in the pictures but doesn't have jag on it... made by nitro same style etc i think i paid £110 for it when i bought it a year and a half or so.. Fits perfectly, doesn't really get fucked with condensation... Whether i feel safe or not in it is another matter, i think I'd happily spend 3x that much knowing i bought something that could withstand a fair old whack.
