Fit is the most important thing, you could have a dogs bollocks carbon fibre 600 quid lid but if it's not snug it'll be worse than a 40 quid lid that fits well. Basically get down to ya local bike shop try a few on and buy what fits best. Or find what fits best and then find it online to save cash.

it's from china so i doubt it follows the standars set out in the UK so its not really legal and who knows if its a safe lid.

I love my flip-front helmet, I paid about £160 for mine.

I'd be wary about buying it from ebay (and I do buy a lot of stuff from ebay) as you don't know how many times it's been bounced around before it gets to you.

At the end of the day, it's protecting your brains and surely that's something worth spending a few quid on?

It depends how long you plan to wear it for, but a cheap one won't be as comfy as a pricey one.

I wouldn't spend more than a couple of hundred though, I don't think they are any safer and if you drop it it's still going in the bin.

    Jason.
