Hi everyone, new to the whole scooter thing but I know my fair bit of basics. But as I recently went out and bought a speedfight 3/AC. Since ive had it ive fitted new battery, new clutch and various other bits and bobs. It has a Leo vince TT exhaust and the rollers and jets have been changed to fit that exhaust. Top speed is around the 45mph on a flat and it will push 50-55mph on a steep hill. It maxes out at 8,500rpm.

Now you no abit about the scoot im hoping some of you will be able to give me some tips on increasing speed, and then vizualy upgrading it.

that's nuts! I havent found out yet cause i havent got my licence :p i've only been able to have a little ride outside my house which is about 100m long, but i managed to get 36mph out of it easily. I've been told it's standard apart from the TT exhaust and the variator washer out so that's not bad, just wait til i get it out on the roads ;)

Ahh ye, yours is pretty much the same as mine then, all stock but with a Leo vince TT, mine does 45mph easy on a flat and pushes onto 50 mph on a very long road, flies past 50mph on a hill though

Yeah you should do, you have the piaggio engine which gives you an advantage they're the quickest 50 engines

i had intended on putting a leo vince back on (had one before i got it) but tbh im getting it through the MOT then concentrating on getting a 125 on the road, so the nrg will get sold :(

Yeah im old enough to ride a 125 too but the insurance is just silly, what have you been getting quoted?
and what speed do you currently get out of your NRG

my nrg has variator out, jetted for the leo vince but got standard on. managed 48 the other day :) down a steep hill and i was in a hurry :)

luckily im 27, been driving cars for 10 years. so the insurance (first year) for the ped is 100 quid, and for my hongdou 125 (cg125 rep) insurance is looking about 120 quid :)
