Hello everyone my name is Jason and I live in Vancouver BC. I just finished building my first scooter which is an Aprilia SR50. I pretty much did everything you can do to it, the motor has been upgraded to 70cc and has every single Malossi part that they make for it. I have decided that its still not enough so I am swapping that motor for a Piaggio 180 from an Italjet. I am still deciding on if I will go with the 55mm stroker crank or the 52mm Malossi one. I already have the Malossi 172 piston and cylinder kit and I will most likely add the PM head. I also am planning on getting the PM TSAB brace and their chrome exhaust. I am unsure what carb I will use possibly a 28mm one. I would love to get an inner rotor ignition but I need one with at least an 80W lighting coil. If anyone knows of anyone that makes one please let me know! I am not sure what is going to be involved in mounting this engine to my scooter, Im going to order the engine hanger from a newer Piaggio SR50 and see how close that comes to fitting. I will also have to order a new main wiring harness because mine is a ditech and I want this to be a clean build. Also the dash needs to be changed to a carb one. Let the fun begin!
