I rode larger bikes most of my adult life. I don't worry about people laughing at my scoot.
I get a lot of questions in California. "What is that thing?"..... " A Chinese scooter"..... "Where can I get one?".

Now that I am older I can get my kicks on a 150cc China scoot.... fun to ride and fun to fix.

That is my story, and I am sticking to it.

    What is rain?
Actually we get only 25 inches of rain per year. We live in a desert.

On the other hand we don't really have many changes in the weather. It gets to 80 in the summer and 60 in the winter with occasional years warmer or colder.
We have over 300 sunny days a year.

    Good for a scoot.

Norway has a better social system I hear. Of course most of what Americans know about Norway is from a TV show produced there, but on Netflix.

Saw some clips on the web about "alt for norge".
Norwegian producers are as bad as American and British producers in every way.
    It is pretty bad.

There are a lot of Norwegian heritage Americans. Who else would consider Minnesota a nice place?
It is not as cold as Norway, but not by much.

    The icebox of America.
    Been there on business.
A touch too cold for my tastes. I think anything under 60F is chilly.
40 years on the west coast will do that to you.
Me, I am sticking to a place where I can ride a scooter year round.

I would love to visit Norway, from the photos it is beautiful.
It is good to hear it is not always frozen, and you can ride a scooter more than 3 months of the year.
Like I said, most Americans know very little about Norway, and what we do know comes from Norwegian TV shows. Not a very good way to understand a place.

I suspect people around the world think America is like American TV... Not so much. American TV is pretty much fantasy.

All tv is a bit farfetched really, except shameless, the uk is summed up nicely by that show
