    Hi all

I was bought a scooter for my 50th birthday. Lucky girl!
Although it's stuck down in Sussex and i need to drive it up to London.
I am desperately searching for an iPhone 5 holder that will attach to my wing mirrors.
Any suggestions? I need a sat nav to get me back here, but from 6 months of searching, i'm at a loss as to what will fit on my bike. None of the motorcycle sat nav adaptors will fit on it.
I've searched the forum, and can't find anything, so apologies if this has already been covered.
    Thank you so much

    Susie

    Hi susie

same problem but i run a LG k8 no phone cases to clip onto bike or wing mirror.
after a little research i came across a bluetooth intercom. it has two small speakers you fit into the ear wells of your helmet and a small mic on a boom that sits up in the front chin area. cost me £36 with everything you need to get it going. nice thing is it can run the phone to so answer calls / redial last number used and even voice dialing. with an added bonus of a fm radio all built in.
i downloaded waze satnav app for android and set it up, paired my phone to the headset, started up the satnav app and it works lovely, no need to look down at a pokey little screen the voice commands are sent direct into you ears via the speakers " turn left in 200m" take the third exit at the next roundabout " etc etc.

with the cost of these phone cases being around the same mark you maybe better off having an intercom set, means eyes always on the road and you have that added bonus to answer incomming calls or make outgoing calls all hands free while your cruising the roads.

Fitting is fairly easy to, the speaker with the mic attacked goes in the left side of your helmet, so pull out your cheek pad slide the speaker in and pop the cheek piece back in, do the same for the right side cheek piece. then pop helmet on before you stick them down with the velcro pads, doing this allows you to get them to seat nicely so they are comfy and not hurt your ears. once your in the right spots pop out the cheek piece add the velcro pad to back of speaker and stick it into helmet.

the controller can be fitted in two ways, one is via a sticky pad that sticks to the outside of your helmet, but i went with the solid clip mount, you slide this between the cheek pad then screw the mounting pad to the slided in clip mount, screw it down tight with the two screws provided and its stays securley in place ( no worry of a sticky pad falling for from being soaked with rain water). the controller device is waterproof to so no worry there. its a simple device but i found for the money its a bargain and does the job perfect.

I might be calling on you again for instructions once i've got it. Without seeing the controller and clip mount, it's difficult to work out. Thanks again.

feel free to holler here if your a bit stuck when you receive it Susie. controller is a simple oblong like device with a little on/off flush button, then the jog wheel with a central button.

hold the on/off button for around 8 seconds and it will flash red and blue leds, when its doing this, turn on your phones bluetooth and search for bluetooth devices you want to connect to the one labeled " T-COM " , if it asks for a password just punch in four zeros.
once paired the device will flash a single blue led every half a second or so.

to answer a call press the jog wheel button once. and a second time to hang up.
double click the jog wheel button to enable fm radio .... swipe the jog wheel up or down quickly to change radio stations or hold the jog wheel up or down to adjust volume higher or lower.

if your playing music via phone you can adjust volume with jog wheel in the same was a radio, a quick sweep up on jog wheel skips a track forward or back. if you receive a call with radio on or phone playing music it will automaticly lower volume and when call finishes adjust volume back to its orginal setting.

you dont have to have phones bluetooth on to use the device either only for calls or playing your own mp3's/music from it. you can turn on the intercom double tap the jog button and the radio will still work.
you can also connect to some other intercoms like the sena and others so you can chat to other riders in a group or your pillion passenger ;)

hold the on/off button for five seconds to turn it on / hold the same button again for 5 seconds and it will turn off, the led blue light will go solid and not flash then power down.
when its active it will flash the blue led every half a second or so , to give you warning its working. just a word of warning you may get funny looks when your at traffic lights and start to shimmy dance or start singing out aloud to your music lol ahahaha

great news susie , to test mine i just paired the phone up, started the satnav app , popped helmet in then engaged a route on the satnav , got a friend to drive me around wearing my helmet to make sure it was working correct.

i also carry around one of those powerbank phone battery chargers to, satnavs do like to munch you phones battery so having that emergency supply is a god send , its great being able to top up phone charge and mine came with a little led torch installed to . very handy unit to keep in your bag/backpack
