I have been looking on here for the last few days and feel it is time to say hello. I an Jon and I am 25 and looking to get my first 'ped to use on my daily commute and general pottering around. I have a Car licence so just need my CBT to be able to ride a 50cc without plates So the plan is to get something asap, don't have a massive amount to spend up to about £300 but I do not mind and have the capability to do plenty of work on it. So something that is a none runner / off the road is a possibility. I like the looks of the Gilera Ice/Runner and also the Peugeot Jet Force but I am not really fussy, I am also not concerned about age pretty happy getting something 15+ years old. So advice on what to get and future upgrade routes and does anyone know anything on offer. I am in the Manchester area.

I already expect it to do that :w00t: I am the same with my cars I have 3!!! but this will be slimmed down to 1 very soon to make room in my life for a 'ped.
:welcome: oh my god this is exactly what happened to me... into me cars...wanted a ped as a play thing/commuter I should warn you off and say noooo!! it"ll take over your life...aahhh what the hell...go for it mate
oh yes youve gotta deristrict...that goes without saying infact if your buying 2nd hand 9 out of 10 times theyre already deristricted If you want my advice go for either a piaggio or minarreli engined scooter...i prefer piaggio but either are the most tuneable (bits available)
