Ok so on a piaggio zip 4t carb, there is the throttle thing that moves a circle thing up and down to let through air but also like on a 2t carb, there is a throttle pin and slider, i think this is worked by air to push it up and down but it doesnt work, when i start the bike and pull the throttle back the revs barely changed but when i push the throttle slider up with my finger then it started working normal, does anyone know how to get the slider thingymabob working.

Have you checked your throttle cable? It could be snapped.

Yes the throttle is fine, its just the pin slider thing that wont move

Have you checked the operation of the cable though. Aka removed the cable from the carb and twisted the throttle to check the cable is moving?

Yes i know what your saying, the bit inside the carb is moving when i pull the throttle, but there is another part that should move by air or vacuum i think, and it wont move its called a diagphgram piston or somthing its next to the cock

    Fair enough.

I once had one of these bikes but never actually striped the carb, and thinking back I never really understood the carb.

There's nothing more I can really help you with it.

remove the cover from the vacuum operated diafram check the diafram for spilts or tares , if there are any , them replace the diafram , if its ok then check the pipe that will run from your induction manifold to the diafram , check it is conected, free from splits , kinks, and that the pipe fits tight over the the points that it fits on

I sort of got it working but when you pull the throttle back it takes a long while for the revs to pick up.

it sounds like the same problem i had on mine. As Chris said take the carb apart, look closely at the diaphram to see if theres any splits. if there is change it
    There was on mine.
