i put a new Hebo variator and Clutch on to my 70cc piaggio typhoon. i went to take it out on a test ride and the bike wont go over 40mph? can someone tell me what could be causing this? i put 4.1 g rollers in that came with variator.

Did you put the little restrictor ring on the slider by mistake ?

have you got a gear up on it.if it revs nice with the light weights and slowed on the heavyweight, try a mix of each.leave every thing standard and change one thing at a time.im assuming you got a good pipe and carb?.

Just put lighter rollers in it. Try 3 g and work up from there.

nice pipe yasuni r.best there is to get a 70 spinning for the money.carb should be able to
supply the juice .you say you cant get past 40..did it on the old variator?did you get a good pull away.just wondering if your expecting it to do some thing its not living up too, speed wise.it should be revving its bollox off and lifting.

okok think i found the problem. put old variator on with new clutch, it works, but with new variator it dosent go past 40. so i beleive the variator is the wrong one for my bike. it also didnt help that i had a massive slit in my manifold. cheers anyways guys.
