one of the cylinder head nut is rounded pretty bad asthe socket i was using was pretty naff , anyway i can get it off by cutting it but i desperately need it fixed for work and il have to wait ages for a replacement nut its tight but not set to the correct torque like the other 3 and was just wondering if it will be okay like this until i get a new set of nuts ? im guesiin it wont but is worth asking anyway cheers
cut the nut off... remove the barrel and then wind 2 niuts onto the thread.. tighten one into the other then unscrew the thread in future use GOOD tools.. this shit dont happen then.. bet it was an imperial socket ay
yeah need to get a better torque wrench the one ive got is a cheapo and it was metric , 10mm :bird: cheers for the help minor always aprreciated
if it was a metric 10mm how the hell did you round the bolt off... not possible wihtout poor tecnique (or chocolate sockets)
yeah ,bad technique really , i could barely get themassive torque rench in a tiny gap between the head bolts and a suopporting bar in the frame the geniuses at yamaha decidied to put right in front of the spark plug .... flippin hate aerox's
is that the right angle sort of joint peice ? got one for my halfords socket set , dosent fit the torque wrecnh though next time i do any top end work im just gona get the engien out , is ALOT easier to do that on a aerox than to strip all the panels off and take of the suspension , again ... aeroxs suck
reducing socket/adaptor down to 3/8 drive onto the smaller knuckle. done having the right tools makes live VERRY easy
