Hey, I had problems with my scooter, first the water pump broke and I still drove it on short journeys for a few days (under 2 miles) and it would have hours to cool down, so I don't really think it got hot enough to over heat in that time. Water was still being circulated around the system but it was leaking out of the pump. But now it won't start at all, I took apart the barrel & piston to inspect the condition & it seemed fine to me. So I put it all back together with the old head gasket I took off and when I was kicking it off I noticed that water was coming out of the sides slightly & if I took the spark plug out water or petrol would shoot out of the hole? So I put another head gasket on from before and it still done the same thing, but I have taken the head of a few times and kept the old head gasket with no problems. WHATS HAPPENED!?
Have you got a flat piece of glass ..if you have put the head on it and check for any wobble if there is get it machined flat
