Hi im new just joined this second, i have a few questions? 1)i have a typhoon 125cc standard at present (n reg hella old 1996) Except i completely stripped it and rebuilt for tidyup (will explain later) where should i ask questions and talk to others about my bike on this site??(here or a different thread in forums? kinda new to the net too, as this is my first forum EVER!!! 2)where/how do i add a pic of my bike or me to the left hand side like alot of you have? anyway i heard this is the forum site to be a member of if you own a scooter (is it true lol scrathes head) anyway the help on this for now would be great and ill get bk when i can as im currently spraying my panels as we speak (in and out the shed on 15 min intervals)
alright, to ask for help with your bike, use the workshop. and for product help and stuff like that use the scooter discussion forums. to get an avatar(that thing over <<<there) upload your picture to www.imageshack.us the right click it and choose copy image location. then come on here and go in to your profile and psate the link into the relevant bit :up:
make sure you re-size to avatar and post some pics of your bike up sounds like an antique welcome to ss mate :beer:
thanks you 2, and yes it is a antique , anyway ive gone back to my old scooter days (after major car crash lol) so picked this up for £200 last year (been in shed untill last week) all im going to do to it is change front suspension to doppler hsm's as i cnt be bothered with piaggio shock's they seem to go nomatter what, and mallossi suspension is to expensive for shocks if u ask me and change back suspension and put a doppler air filter and kundo chrome exhaust on and a 92 jet(i think in my standard mikuni carb) im totally new at taking a scooter apart,(other then my old hot wireing days behind pizza hut at 15 lol, we have all been at the screw and clawhammer days on here i bet , :w00t: , anyway peeps i guess this thread should be closed, and i should start from the very beginning about my lil project in a better place on here like the workshop you describbed, WHAT YOU THINK? ill be gone in a sec untill 2morrow so let me know asap, and thanks for the welcome peeps. 1 last thing 2 both of you as im going for hte day HOW THE HELL YOU GET TO KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT MOPED.SCOOTERS as i see your like 17? thats great but i really need to know all about this as well i need to know how to tune and do up scooters like how did you 2 know how to do scooters like after you put a mallossi kit on and change variator etc then how to know what jet to use etc im sooo lost all i learned from was a foooking hayes manual lol and im grinding my teath as it doesnt help much at all all ivbe done is take everything abpart to look for worn parts changed back hub bearing front wheel bearings added talking alarm and ummmmm put the crap bk together lol
Good looking out. nway here it is very bad pics as camphone used nway heres all ive done as of now 1.treated frame 2.change bottom + top steering race/bearings 3.changed rear hub bearing behind gearbox/gears 4.checked variaor/rollers..allgood so regreased and put back 5.Changed every petrol pipe and all airtubeing as they were all starting to crack from age i guess 6.ummm basicly checked everything else cylinder apart to check rings piston and move cam rod left to right to see if cam felt ok ...seemed ok I think so put back..basicly just checked the whole bike. didnt know anything abot bikes at all previously,but being a semi qualified electrican and plumber (pratical minded like you lot) I thought ill give it a go the rest ima have to ask you guys for help when I'm next on.. but thanks for the welcome and see ou lot soon. 1 love OK IM GONE NOW TAKE CARE PEEPS N HAPPY SCOOTING P.S ILL POST ALL THINGS IN ..HOPEFULLY..CORRECT THREADS AS OF TOMORROW..SORRY IM NEW CYZ
lmfao i bought a alarm of the net its actually awesome for the price talks to you and you can remote start it and turn off by the keyfob also if it gets jacked just point your fob at it and cut it out lol and all the red is red electrical tape as their was so many wires their was noway that the panels would go bk on so just used the red tape as electrical tape as i wired it up half to the fuse box and half to the actuall loom as i looked at the manufactor way and was like you got to be jokeing me i would laugh if i was still a theif at this lol nway cya all n thanks ima go chill now
lmfao what....its not like i used to take peoples bikes..Just pizza hut lmfao although i know everyone in south east that used to steal mopeds but this is years ago...people change with time
