Hi there I’ve just boa ajs Modena 125 scooter the last owner says he’s just replaced the crankshaft when I received it I never tried to start it for about 5 days when I tried the electric start there was a noise but no spark so the day after I tried the kickstart no joy nos it seems like the battery is dead what’s the best plan of action to get it started I’ve never had a scooter like this before
    Thanks everyone

What year is it ? Charge the battery, put it on centre stand as it may have a side stand cut -out switch. Don't kick but quickly press down the kickstart, you don't need to hold brakes on for this method, as you kick gently give it a little throttle.

It's either in the floor between your feet or under R/H side panel ??

Agree with Marsh, pulled it up & there should be a panel between your feet/held in place with 1-4 screws.:).
