having problem with my aerox :(

well when i go on a long straight road bike just starts bogging and looses speed then stops and cuts out used to start straight away and drive perfect now it takes few kicks to start then runs perfect like 3 min and does the same thing. when it does it its not like it bogs its like cutting out then going and then cutting out again?
this only happens on long straights (btw i go like 40mph ) still does that

things u might need to know i run electric choke and i got a bolt instead of a temperature sensor in my bore could it be this? as it started doing this when i fitted my 70cc ,

doppler reedblock
airbox
and pm360 pipe

when not on straights bike is rappid and runs spot on its just high speeds that does this
i changed the head gasket still same thing

 

May sound silly but did you rejet when fitting the bore?

 

hahaha obv coz i changed the carb, im thinking its my el choke that is giving me this problem

 

Could well be the choke its worth ruling it out before spending money or anything as its easy enough to check. What does the plug look like?

 

do a compression test and a plug chop. it may be heat seizure. My 350LC used to do the same but that was due to previous owner rebuilding the twin crank out of alignment so its wasnt sparking at TDC

 

sounds kinda like the problem iv having .... iv got a bolt for the temp sensor too, dont know what its for tbh... bike wont even start now

 

im guessing the temp sensor and autochoke are linked, so that when its cold the choke comes on and when its warm it turns off? unless its got a delay relay like jogs do?

 

auto choke enables when using electric start but try a manual choke may work also it wouldnt work normally on any other road if it was the choke.

 

ok thanks guys ill try putting a carb with manual choke on i got 19mm somewhere see if its sorts the problem out,

yeah i did think that too about it not being a choke problem because it would only run bad on startup but i guess it still could be, if its not the choke i would guess at a slight heat seize, maybe run a hotter plug

 

ok guys, i got a 17.5 carb of my mate that has a manual choke and it runs spot on ! , also got pm tuning sponge filter bike flys now love it
