have fitted a malossi filter dose it need upjet

the malossi panel filter is fitted to my lc 50cc speedfight the bike is standard other than derestriction the jet size is a 50 at the minuet will i need to upjet it for the filter

 

Yes but only by a couple of jet sizes

 

its got a 50 in it and i have a 52 will that do

 

if its just a foam insert in the stock air box then you shouldnt really need to upjet but if it was me id get a new spark plug run your ped up to temp on the one thats in then when its hot put the new pne in run it full throttle down the road turn the ignition of then check the colour of the plug to see if its rich or lean if its a bit lean then just stick the 52 jet in if the plug is coffee colour leave it and if its dark brown/blackish then go down a few sizes you can only do a plug chop tho once its warmed up so dont warm it up with the new plug
