just wondering if anyone has tried to set up a group buy via this forum, i havnt a clue how many of us buy cylinder kits, exhausts, variators, but in total i guess there must be loads, easily enough to buy them cheaper than we can on our own.

we could arange it via a major shop, ask them for a quote for 10, 20, 30 or whatever and arange for everyone to pay them direct within a month whatever number buy is the discount we get i could hold for a month till they have taken all the orders, they could take your username as a refference and we could see who has bought what they arranged to and who backed out, i would be willing to do the ringing round if there is intereast

For the discount that you'd get it wouldn't be worth the risk of giving some random person X amount of money.

If MiNoR or tErr0 was willing to like accept those that wanted a certain product we sent them money through paypal/cash/wire transfer then they buy the bulk then we pay them the postage and package then it'd be somewhat worth it.

But can't see them doing it, and can't blame them either, they make nowt from it.

well, if your genuine but you can see where im commin from, only real way to get a discount is to have advertising on the site... and vip membership blah blah for the discount or anyone can just get the price. gotta think about any distributor/stockist thinkin about you buying from them cheap to sell to there market.. fuck all buissness sence. if however you can garantee loyal customers for the discount with an advert in a busy specific site they will snap it up. its advert and fee free round here anyway so not really gonna happen, may think about advertising potential in the future if the cost of the site/site projects or there are services worth the annoying windows but i doubt it will be an eventuality (as tempted as i am to make money from the site as a case of "why not" its just not fair on the users and if i wasent in charge it would pisas me off)

yeah i am genuine and can fully understand mate, forums have made it easy to get caught out, specialy when there are people out there desperate to get their parts and willing to cut corners to get them cheap. where do you use for parts mate? i am fairly new to autos been into lammys before this one and found parts easy to get for them.

all belts are kevlar... just some have more layers.. the 25 quid belt you bought is a pattern of a stock part. local scooter shops are no longer the honest genuine helpfull people they used to be (with a few exceptions) there just idiots who see a market and want a peice of the action, most of em dont even like/ride scooter's.. whats that tell ya

this was a piaggio dealer sam taylor in blackpool, thought i would use a local shop as i know how hard it is in buisiness when you lose out to bigger fish..........................and todays lesson is sometimes even the small fish can be a shark in fancy dress lol. next time will order online, by the way i am still waiting for the belt will be a week and 2 days on tues.
