    GRRRRR

If i can im gunna swap them all for srews the same size & length

Yep the quality on that pic is lovely! :w00t:

how loose is the bolt? what do you mean - like the scoket heads are topo fat to fit past the trans case grooves

if its loose, thin needle-nose pliers.. still trying to think of a method if its tight! ....

    maybe... 8mil spanner?

click the photo it might help a bit lol

I've tried the 8mil spanner still no good :(

    and no its not loose

u kno on the socket its smaller at the 8mil end and it gets bigger at the other end to fit on the ratchet

    like this:

You need a 1/4" 8mm deep socket. If you are using a 3/8" ratchet then you need an adapter.

It's the only way you can undo every trans casing bolt and never fuck up the trans casing. ;)

This is what i got could i get an adapter for it from Homebase or B&Q or the likes?

I've damaged most of the trans casing grinding bits away with a dremel to get the socket to fit, it worked for only one bolt lol :(

so im gunna strip the paint off it and polish it etc

it might be ok for a while but i wouldnt go tightening anything too tight, and rusted bolts are a no no in my opinion.

yeh i know what he means, best bet is to go down to halfords or the equivalent and see if they sell them, its just a longer version of what you have.

the adapter is like the shape of that socket you have in your picture, should come with most cheap socket sets or a full expensive one, it will fit in a large drive extension bar or rachet head and then the drive on the end will be smaller e.g. 1/2" drive to a 1/4" drive for smaller sockets to clip on

go for something like a good halfords set, doesnt have to be halfords proffesional, dont go for anything less than chrome-vanadium - they are very hard wearing tools and pretty gd value a decent set should set you back anywhere between £25-£40+, my local garage has a good set he bought when he was 14, hes now 37

edit: an interesting fact about adapters - you cant get any with a life time guarantee, not even snap on do guarantees with them

and the trade name for them is also called "reducers" heres a piccy haugh of some impact reducers/adapters:

The set you linked is a 1/2" drive so completely useless for pretty much everything on a scooter.

Halfords sell both the 8mm deep socket and an adapter for 3/8" to 1/4".

I use my 3/8" set for everything apart from trans casing bolts where i used what i already described.

This is the set i have and it's a great little set. Alot of useful things in a small box. The only downside is the ratchet is a little shit but a halfords pro 3/8" fits in there perfectly. It's CR-V even though it doesn't state it is.

    Try a 7mm socket!!

if its too small you can hammer it on (carefully)!!
