Had my theory test booked today, need advice

I had my theory test booked today at 6pm and just got here and the center is closed. Sign on the door says its closed all day. Why would it let me book my test if the center is closed and can anyone advice me on how to get a refund given that you need to give them something like 5 working days notice or you lose your fee.

 

That sucks. I guess you can contact the center when they open again

 

6pm seems a bit late in the day to even have an appointment, but then again I know nothing about the way dvla works
