had a bit of an accident on my mountain bike today - damage report

had a bit of a accident with my 2 week old mountain bike today.
basically had 3 choices, hit a car, a kid or a tree, i decided to hit the tree.
result -
1 ruined disc brake wheel
replacement cost - £65.

 

should have gone for the kid

 

nah im not that cruel lol, probably would have killed the poor lad, 22 stone of rider + a full on downhill mountain bike + whatever luggage etc I had on me would have done some serious damage to him lol
got a new wheel the same day lol

 

45 miles for fun on a bike I got for free and installed a £1.50 break cable on, will be doing 200 miles of commuting etc next week. good old raliegh, will serve me well until I get myself sorted financially and back on the road. my other bike will be lucky to see daylight for a month now.
