So being a newbie to scootering I've been trawling the net, and I've come across these gy6 motors!

Wikkipedia tho informative ain't always rite, so any of you lot running them? I see they range from 50 too 250 cc, I belive the 150cc is common tho.
So what you lot think to them? How do you get on with them? What scoots have you converted?
    Basicly GY6, what's the crack!?

The GY6 engine is a chinese copy of the original Honda GY6 engine. Found mainly in chinese scooters and some Yamaha, kymco, sym scooters. They are OK engines for getting you around, but are totally breathless when it comes to power, The GY6 engined 125cc scooters bearly reach 60mph. Not the most reliable 4T engine around either.

Americans like them because they are cheap & cheerful and because 2 strokes are banned in most states haha
