Hi all please help me.Bought a gy6 with engine noise.Found pieces of metal in the oil.Noticed the camshaft bearing was failing on the sprocket side was very rough and found the bearing failed.Got brand new bearings fitted them and engine noise was gone.Used the engine for about 200km and now the noise is back.Stripped the head to find the bearing failed again. Please give me some advice why is the bearings failing on the camshaft.
    Thank you

Thank you will have a look at it again,my only question is how tight must the cam chain before the tensioner is fitted,i have done a few bike engines and found alot of play before fitting the tensioner. On this gy6 engine the chain is very tight without the tensioner-are they like that.
    Thank you

The cam chain should be a little slack before tensioner is fitted, take cap off tensioner and wind tensioner up, hold screwdriver in to keep it up, bolt it down then let go of screwdriver.
