    Malossi innerrotor ignition

    Preparations
    - Wash the scooter, especially the engine
    - Disconnect and remove the battery.

    Disassembly - Minarelli engines
    1. Remove the coolant pump
    2. Loosen the three nuts that drive the cooling pump and remove them from the flywheel.
    3. Unscrew the nut that locks the flywheel on the crankshaft, remove the flywheel using the flywheel puller.
    4. Remove the coils, the pickup and cables

    Pic 03
    Then Malossis bottom plate
It is not possible to mount it wrong

The key, I already mounted on the crankshaft

    Then the rotor is mounted

    Pic 06
I locked the transmission on the other side

Now I just pull the bolt a bit but later it shall have it tightened to 30Nm

    Pic 08
    Then stator and wiring harness

    Pic 09
    Tighten the three bolts slightly

    Pic 10
Mount the dial indicator in the spark plug hole
I will now find out top dead center (T.D.C.)

    Pic 11
I turn the crank counterclockwise until the pointer on the clock changing direction

    Pic 12
Now I've reached the top dead!
    Then I reset the clock

    Pic 13
I keep turning the crank counterclockwise (each turn of the clock is 1mm pre-ignition)
The manufacturer recommends 2.3 mm pre-ignition (see Table 1 below)

    Table 1
    Recommended pre-ignition
    (2.3 mm or 32-33 degrees)

    There I have 2.3 mm!

Now, tighten the bolt to 30Nm

(I have locked variator on the other side again)

The plate for the water pump drive fitted
