I'm revisiting research on the Leader/ Quasar engines for the ET/ LX (small)frames. To date I understand a fly mount accommodates the use of the LC engines exhaust downpipe and the length of the unit is similar when measured with both engines complete. I've hit a fork in the road: I was firstly going down the route of a 300 with a carb. Then I discovered the Malossi head with a 218 and carb can achieve 22hp but for 3X the cost. Should I expect there would be losses running the 300 on a carb? Any good reason for the 218 on the 125LC i've already got over the 300? Best
