Got my new pipe finally..quick question.

I used the search and trawled through a ton of posts but couldnt find what I was looking for so..

In the end of my new pipe, where you bolt it to the engine there is a cone shaped wotsit soldered in place. Is that the restrictor? is it safe for me to remove it?

But yes, thats the restrictor, get rid of it.

 

I actually did, it brought up over a thousand results but none of the ones i looked through described a cone shaped restrictor.

How do I get that restrictor out? From looking at it, it appered to be soldered in place but my soldering iron does nothing to it.

 

its a weld mate use a dremmil and grind it out in small enough pieces that they will fall out if you just try smash it in itll fall inside and youll have hell gettin it out
