my counter balance fork lift truck one anyways :w00t: passed my course on friday and got my licence this morning good times lol
i can see why you can fail people DIE from fork truck misuse LOL a classic is : boys - who can hold onto the forks the longest all the way up in the air?!, always ends in tears LOOOL or the picure on the random pictures section with the "problem solving use of fork trucks" i love the way the wheels spin 360 degrees, they really are a case of : "ya just never know where ya might go!" but congrats anyway mate on passing just try to use it with good manner, my grandads businesses old truck has seen its side on the floor more times than use - it will fucking hurt if you get a limb caught under one of those things
I would advise anybody doing it within a company but make sure that once your license has done, you can use the license else where and it's not a company fork license where you can use it at only that company like mine. If i left my job and went to another place i'd need to take a refresher so to speak. I believe it is around 400-500 pounds for the test? I may be wrong as i didn't pay it the company paid it.
depends on if you know gears ect ect... can cost anything from 200-600 including your theory but because some of us know people at the training centre i get a discount :w00t: imp: :bird:
and dont do what i did and try to lift a pallet of granit with fork extentions on, they tip forwards quite well.
ive been wondering this for a while now, is a forklift truck license part of the dvla? as your only allowed to drive them on private land yeah??? do you need to do a theory test with them, id imagine so but one focused around health and safety? congrats for passing though, if its anything like a car test your eyes need to be 15 places at once lol sam
I didn't have anything to do with dvla when i done mine. Theory was pretty much a piece of piss, i know everybody that passes says that but it was pretty much basic straight to the point. It is mainly around health and safety, and weight differences and pivvet(sp) points and just general awareness. Same as any other car/bike test i guess. Driving through a route made out of pallets, at the other end of route, a stack of blocks/bulk bags or something you have to pick up and reverse through the route again then he makes you do a few other bits. Only gay thing i dislike about the test, the forks move up/down tilt forward and backwars and shift side to side, in my test we wasn't allowed to shift side to side so you had to be accurate as possible. Mine was a three day course, first day being the awareness videos and health and safety shit.
fork lifts can be used on public roads aswell aslong as your in an industrial estate and not bombin up and down the street :w00t: got my forklift today 08 plate nissan one unk: unk: unk: unk: my license can be used anywhere but its perminant for my company
