got my kit

well i got my kit and ive got a few questions

1- the new kit does not include exhaust studs can i use my old ones?


2 th cylinder is covered in all this stick stuff what is it?

the sticky stuff is cutting oil from when it was made i believe. I used my old exhaust studs in mine.

 

i cant get my old ones out for the life of me


any tips as to how to get them out??

you dont have to use studs...you can use bolts instead

 

yeh i was just looking into that amd ve found out that my trans case bolts go straight in


but they are too long

 

just cut them down with a hacksaw...and put a chamfer on the cut end with a small file

 

the 2 extreme kits are covered in an oily resiue to protect the heat proof paint from stratching off and damaging it, bolts should be around in a typical bike shop

file around the exhaust tract with some thick paper such as p60 or 80 and finish it off with a bot of emery or p600/800

to then rinse off any iron filings or the oil off the barell with rubber gloves (NOT LATEX) and some paraffin or thinners, for 5 to 10 minutes with a toothbrush make sure every spec of dirt is gone

then rinse off the cleaning agent you use with water and throughly damp it dry with a clean towel to stop rust + oil it with 2 stroke oil and assemble

my 2 extreme kit didnt come with an exhaust gasket so make sure you get one too mate

 

yeh mine came with this exhaust gasket kinda thing


but my exhaust alredi has one one it

can i not just use that
?

im afraid one of the manufacturers employees masturbated on the kit before your purchase.

 

yeah the ring is a gasket, i had to cut mine down when i temporarly fitted a tecniwank

the gasket you have on now, clean it thoroughly with grit paper if its a metal one or best buy a new papery/metal type

you get that sticky stuff when you buy brake disks for cars ect think its to pretect the fresh metal imp:

 

you dont have an exhaust gasket on the piggy 50/70 engine like on other engines

ruuning well now....fazster than my 50 and it still need setiing up but im hapy with it.

gona order some rollers...and jets for the 20.5 and hopefully get a bit more speed out of it

overall i WOULD deffinately recomend the kit for anyone on a tight budget.
