is this a good set-up ? im considering a polini evo and ive come up with this setup, Aerox evo 70, Polini evo 70cc bore kit, polini carb kit 21mm, Racing air filter evo, Racing crank shaft hebo, V belt evolution, Polini 2g evo clutch, Yassuni carrera 16 racing exhaust, Vaiomatic polini eco kit, Polini secondary gearbox, Tnt jack up kit, Stage 6 boost bottle, Renthal bar conversion
so apart from that would u say its a good set-up, and from your experience what speed could i be looking at ?
no entirely sure, im running very simelar on my SR but without gear-up, it pulls about 65-70mph (true speed) but picks the front wheel up from 40 just on the throttle.
if you thought about getting a boost bottle and thought about getting a c16 im pretty sure you don't have enough knowledge to build/maintain an engine of these specs. sorry, harsh but true.
I'm running a c16 on this setup at the moment, it works but it is restrictive. the boost bottle is one of my pet hates for reasons described over and over again on here. in fairness if the evo motor is buiult proplely and set-up correctly then you should have no problems at all for a good 2 to 3 thousand miles
hey far comment dec rossi, i know fuck all bout tunin and i thought id have a blast at pickin a set-up that would most suit me, dont worry i aint gonna be doin all the tunin on my bike, im gonna get it done by my local bike shop,
fair enough i suppose but just bear in mind it is a very poweful kit if its setup correctly with all the right components, its gonna be expensive, and needs a lot of maintaining, its a racing kit mate, its made for the track not road use
kk bud, cheers for the advice, all im wanting is a set-up that will atleast do 75, u got anything in mind ? cheers for your knowlegde
heres a good mid race setup which will put a smile on your face im sure malossi mhr-rep 70 kit performance crank, bgm evo are tried and tested good cranks. 21mm dellorto carb yas c16 polini speed control transmission kit gear up, dependant on what you want, i had a 33% and didnt really loose much accel, just revs didnt kick in properly till about 15-20 istead of 5-10. but top end was a lot better, reedblock?? v force are tried and tested. mega stiff clutch springs or an adgjustable race clutch, polini 2g are piss easy to setup. tourque driver maybe?? makes alot of difference if you live in an area with alot of hills. few boxes of jets to set carb up a few sets of rollers as the ones that come with speed control are always too heavy, your probs gonna be looking at anything below 3.8g tbh. hope this helps. plus piston is 2 ring so pretty reliale if setup well.
thank you for your time dec rossi i realy apreciate it, wat sort of speeds should i be looking at if i were to have the set up you advised me to have
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=24jxYxriBhQ theres a vid of aerox91's rox, pretty similar setup to what i mentiond above, seems to rev well and go like stink.
looks quick dont it imp: i was gonna go mhr rep but then i seen the streetrace so thought it give it a shot. tbh i was fucking surprised what a 2 ring cast iron could do.
Dude, that was one mental bike, shit off a shovel ! ! ! Now looking at that setup, obviously excluding the pipe for a Nardo, that was pretty much where i was going, and with that speed fuck a 125 when i'm 17
Totally agreed, but for my personal use I'll only be regularly in 40-50mph zones, so a tuned 50 should be fine. As for having a bike to do 70mph, well legally you're constrained to 60mph zones till you pass your test so unless i do that, it's my 50 all the way
