new to scootering I have a vivacity 50 which has been sitting in my back yard for 5 years . it belonged to daughter she rode it to college and then to work till her boyfriend fell off it and convinced her it was dangerous so it not been started for 5 years anyway im waffling now lol. I decided to use it to get to work be cheaper on fuel than my l200 pick up. I have stripped it down to the bare frame (after I managed to get all the bind weed un tangled from it) cleaned the rust of and primed it for now have done the same with all the plastic . will it pass mot not being the proper colour

hi and welcome to the forum :)
mot testers wont even check the logbook sometimes so wont care what colour it is :) but dvla should be told asap about colour change and if it hasn't been ridden and not insured you may want to quickly tax/insure it or sorn it, dvla are cracking down on untaxed/uninsured vehicles

edit : if your changing colour tell them but if its in primer there wont be any bother about it :) as its seen as temporary :)

I doubt they'll even be bothered about primer, zip ties could be an issue though if you get a fussy tester, put some bolts in where you can (if you can) then zip tie whats not secure, but make sure you cut down the excess cable, makes it look tidier and they wont moan as much, good luck with mot :)

    fork seals ?
wheel bearings are relatively easy to do if you have the right tools
