Right iv got a yamaha BWS 50 nd iv got a doppler s3r exhaust on it with medium clutch springs and 3.7g rollers! it used to be doing ruffly 45 on a flat and for some reason over the last 3 weeks its gone alot slower.
does any one no why this is? or possible reasons?

    im interested in this too....

    mine is doing something similar....

i suspect something with the carby (eg... auto choke not turning off....see my post on this page....) or an obstruction in the exhaust... (not likely i think)

mine tends to idle a bit higher.... and when i back off, sometimes doesnt do the normal..."tang tang tang" noise when compression braking....

it doesnt seem to rev as high either....

are the symptoms similar to yours?

LOL took me a long time to find this on the search :p gotta admit it sounds like both your BWS's are (or at least were) doing the same as mine is. Gonna check the spark plug but even so it never goes faster than 42mph on a flat, yet feels pokey. gets a slight flat spot between 15-25mph and then goes up to 40 linear then thats it. changed filter and thats done nothing much.

As this thread is old have either of you fixed your bikes and if so what was the cause of it? Also would a polini sport kit be risky on the stock crank with a gear up and laser x pro pipe, done 3600 miles my bike btw.

    thanks

polini sport will be fine n a standard crank mate and the x-pro's a perfect partner for it ;) , id leave the gear up kit a sport kit wont have enough power to pull it well,

A quick talk in the local bike shop has confirmed that a small gear up is really needed to get the top speed up as the BWS's are low geared, and they oughta know as the guy in there has one race tuned. :pimp:

Also would i be alright running auto-mix like i am now or would i need to convert to premix?
