Going to view a speedfight 100cc on sunday

Alright going to view a speedfight 100cc on sunday 06 plate just needs taxed recently passed mot, just wondering if there is anything I should look out for common problems and tell tail signs cheers

 

hi, I own one of these, just had to virtually rebuild the bugger,

Things off the top of my head. check condition of fuel filters, listen for rattle from engine, if hes fitted a racing exhaust dont touch it unless your ok doing work on it / having work done as its probably been thrashed within an inch of its life

put it on the stand, check the stand legs for oil. Most common leaks on speedys seem to run along the wiring / starter motor area and trickles down the legs when stood idle.

check edges of break leavers. if they are heavily scratched, it may indicate the bikes been on its side on a slide at some point and since been repaired (some scuffing to be expected)

Check breaking for any wobble that may indicate faulty bearings or bent break disks.

I got mine for £400 but sufficed to say its in poor condition. I am slowly bringing it back to life...
