right got this 100cc kart the boy who a got it off said that was the choke but isit jus the idle never ownd a gokart b4 so im new but dnt seem like 1 and wats the other 1 air mix and ne 1 no were the brake bleed nipple is bit wired as the brake line gos to eva side of calipar jus thought see if ne 1 ne gd on here b4 i go ona kart fourm n look like a numpty lol looks bit rusty n dirty been sat for while i jus got it cheap needs gd clean cheers if ne can help
no, there 2 mix screws, the small one is idle the second is full throtle, the carb itself decides what jet it draws through.. setting them up is fairly simple, can check youtube vids for "carb tunning chainsaw" all the same old shit.. full throtle, wind the screw to the point its revving the cleanest then make it rumble slightly... find out who makes the cart/what bits it uses.. bell up a cart shop/stockist and get the spares... if you cant get spares its worthless. throw the thing in the bin

Yea iv been wanting to get into carts for a while now, but id end up on the roads going nuts round corners and it wouldnt be long before Id get nicked.....not enough legal places to use them round here
Hadnt even thought of that until you mentioned it.... the road legal ones iv seen though all have stupidly high ground clearance and massive roll cages (more like a buggy) with heavy big torquey engines, wheres the fun in that :mrgreen: il have a rigid screamer thats barly off the ground and liftable thanks. Out of interest though whats the legalities of go-carts on the road? (ride height, beam height, even tax class lol) I know your clued up on MOT's.
it would be a q plate.. there is a downloadable manual/set of guidelines for any kind of custom vehicle... id download that (look under kit car construction) i think theres minimum ride hight, lights (obviously) some form of suspention, mudguards and the like but you will be supprised what you can actually get away wiht. like i said check out the rules and regs for q plate/one off construction of NON standardized vehicles.. might be able to sneek it through on some technicality but be warned, the test is ALOT more stringent than an mot so things that would pass fine on a normal mot (modifications on vehicles) wont pass/gain registration status... insurance would be neer impossible too.. but god damn wouldenty it be fun to rag about on one legally? i know somone who converted an lt50 and pw50 for road use just for a giggle
