is there any way I can put it into MPH rather than KMH? Ive tried holding all 3 buttons in but the only thing I can change is the time? Any ideas?
yep imp: with the ignition off hold all the 3 bottons down then turn on the ignition and in theory it shud switch. let us know if you sort it mate.
Ill go try it tomorrow because I cant be arsed to walk out to the garage now. So basically I have to turn the ignition off. Hold all 3 buttons in, And then turn the ignition on while still holding the 3 buttons?
Didnt work. I went to the bike, Held all 3 buttons down, Then turned on the ignition whilst still holding all 3 buttons. It came on in KPH. I held the buttons in for like 30 seconds and still nothing. So let go of buttons. Pressed all 3 in again. Held them in whilst I turned Ignition back off, And on again. And still in KPH. Grr
Another little question regarding the Speedo on the ICE. Its a cool unit. I was wondering what it is like outside of the Handlebar Cowl. Basically Im putting renthals bars on the ICE, and want to keep the ICE speedo. Id probably make a small fiberglass Pod for it myself. Does anyone know what its like outside of the handlebar cowl? Is it small enough?
i took mine out trying to change the bulb in it (failed. if any1 knows if they come apart let me know please ) the size! it is just what you can see when it is in the cowel and is about 2cm deep. hope this helps imp:
Oh thats phat then. Shall have to make myself a small FG pod for it, and some clamps to mount it on the X-bar on the Renthals.
Well I managed to put it in MPH earlier. I think it wouldnt go last night because the battery was well low. I came out of the garage about 20 mins with some L plates (im putting them on to minimise Police attention, even though I dont need them). I simply got on the scooter, Took steering lock Off but didnt put the ignition On. Held all 3 buttons in for like 1 second and turned the ignition on. When the screen loaded up it was in MPH. It does 50mph on the flat btw. Am Interested in taking the Tranny cover off to see whats in there because it seems to get to 50 very well too, no flat spots or anything. Obviously feels slow as shit anyway because im used to the CBR4, But would just be good to see whats what. <Ben>
Have you been pulled a few times for no L plates then?? ive been rideing peds for 5 years on a car licence passed in 1992 i.e no L plates....and in 5 years ive been pulled once for a routine check, (didnt even ask me to produce my documents)
Ive not been pulled no. But Ive put them on because im erm, well... So for the time being, The Ls can stay on so im not an easy target. Ill give you a clue, my Fully comp insurance on the CBR doesn't cover me to ride other bikes for the first year. and Ive been riding 3 months.
