hi im new to the site i have a question im running a standard 50 stalker with a tt pipe 6 gram rollers i want to run a foam filter and do away with the air box any sugestions what main jet i should be running any help much appreciated thanks
Stay away from a open air filter if your bike only has a exhaust there will be hardly any improvement for the extra petrol you will be using an thats if you get the jetting right also it will be alot louder and have no rain protection, a standard bike runs better with a airbox fitted, also do you have the standard torque spring and varitor if so 6 gram rollers sound a bit heavy to me try 5 grams it should bring your bike to life
thanks for your reply my aim is to put a 70 kit on and carb i have put the 5gram rollers in much better now , i got it running spot on with a 112 main jet but i have ordered a dopler sports air box as my mum kindly ran over my standard airbox when i had it off to clean the carb but it seems to be running alot better now , the eventual plan is to do the works on it but my new daughter is sucking up the funds at the mo , i ride and race a ktm 450 the scooter is just a toy to play on and mess about with in the shed
