gilera stalker forks, help

    hi guys i have a 2004 gilera stalker with a typhoon 125 rolling nut engine, im in serious need of new forks and was wondering what over forks would fit as i fancy having rwu forks rather than usd's. anybody able to help? i know vx forks is the norm but i have been offered a set of ice forks? any idea if theyd work and what id have to do? cheers

    Should be a straight swap. Just put new top and bottom bearings in as well.
    Strangely enough, I have an ice that the forks are coming out of to be changed for the VX forks, as well as having the engine changed/modded to a 172, bar conversion, tuned etc etc

    are ice forks not just bushing damping with a spring?

    I'd go with a new set of std forks as the vx forks are to long, to soft and look all wrong. It may be the norm to fit vx forks , but it does'nt mean it's right !

    are the ice forks any good then? :confused:
    Also can you get a stem for the ice forks as im running bar conversion too...

    i would if i could afford new forks hahah its just the conviniance that my mates offered me a set of ice forks that have just had new seals and oil along spare fork legs, very cheap

    As far as I know all the piaggio fork tops are the same size.
