Meant to be selling my Gilera Runner, but after a month in the garden it wont start. Ive had fresh fuel put in, carb fully cleaned and new airfilter and sparkplug. When I spin it over, petrol leaks from the top of the carb in large amounts. Dont know why. Also tried blocking air intake to see if its getting too much air. No difference. Checked reeds and they are fine. Plug gets wet but the engine wont fire up for some reason. Can anyone help me?

check the carb over, tighten all the screws, make sure all hoses are tight on with the clips, and if it still pisses petrol from the top then theres a gasket gone in the carb, could be float bowl gasket

Carb was fine a month ago, it ran spot on, its got a rubber seal which is intact. Petrol seems to be coming out through a hole near the top of the slide for some reason? Everythings in place properly and screws are tight

still having this problem, it will fire up now but takes about 10mins of spinning over while covering and uncovering the carb to get it to fire. Im guessing its carb related as my spark plug is new and its got enough compression to blow your thumb off the hole
