Gilera runner vex 125 not getting a spark

ive tried a brand new plug and still no spark. My next purchase will be a new HT coil but before that I’ve been doing some troubleshooting.

I’ve carried out con checks on both terminals on the HT coil and is ok, however when measuring from the centre of the HT lead to the black wire terminal, I am not getting a reading. Thinking this is the issue as the wires at the end of the lead are snapping.

I’ve carried out con checks on the source coil and are within limits 0.9ohms. I want to check what voltage is at the coils but I’m unsure of where to stick the probes. Any help greatly appreciated
