gilera runner tranny case bearing is it important?

    as said my mates tranny case hasnt got a baring there to hold the outer nut of the case in place, its series 3 engine with the nut on the outside, without this bearing you can oull the case of without taking of the outside clutch nut, obv the bolts need to be undone lol but is this bearing important? can he ride it untill he replaces the bearing?is it that important? thanks

    no its not important, unless you DONT want to completly fuck the engine casing... it supports the clutch, drive from your engine (ALL your power) runs through that shaft.... you will basicly snap part fo the gearbox off (probably pull off the gear plate in a few peices) replace it, do NOT use one wiohtout the bearing and finally slap your friend

    ok thanks minor and will do, :good: he didnt know tbh just took of the tranny case last night and noticed it didnt have one in so was double checking :grin: deffo getting it fixed asap but just hope it hasnt caused any inside damage.
