Hi title says it all i just got my runner purejet its a 2004 model and it has a gienellie sports pipe... how ever at the lights it doesnt want to take off then eventualy the revs come in and it goes quite fast... when i full throttle it doesnt want to rev then it revs after like 2 seconds. help please guys thanks
LOOOL i feel sorry for you..you have to through another stage of owning a bike you eventually wont want.. Ditechs/purejets are no good for tuning...fact. The best thing you could do to 'help' cure your problem is fit the stock exhaust back on...as when fitting an aftermarket pipe, the bike tends to run slightly lean and the ecu cant figure out why..soon you'l have backfire problems and idle problems.. the best bet is to sell the bike. but, if you realy want it just fit the stock pipe if you have it..
Lool ahh shit it does back fire somtimes i didnt buy it to tune like just for commute as the bike came with the pipe already i have a brand new original pipe ill see if it changes.... i thought back fire was cos it needed a new sparkplug ???
I want to know this as well, my honda does it. Will bog a little when full throttle is put on then suddenly pick up. Sounds like a jetting problem, but mines got stock so can't be. And with yours being a purejet it won;t be. Rollers maybe shagged.
d have you been messing with the mixtures screw? because mine used to do that and i messed with the mixture screw for about an hour and it was spot on.
predator its fuel injected, the flow of fuel is overlooked by a ecu. best bet is to put standerd pipe on or just get an sp enginge and swap it over
They sell the sports ecu's for £50 or when you buy a mallosi kit it comes with it (£200)
ye, all this being well and true its not what he is asking, the low revs at ppulloff are caused by the clutch springs engaging at a low rpm (stock pipe makes more power at this rpm) so with your sports pipe and stock clutch the engine has to fully engage the clutch befor it can rev, this takes a few seconds as the lack of power at this rpm means theres a delay in overcomming the transition between freewheelying and a fully engaged clutch but ye, ether get a sports ecu or ditch the injection for a carb... need to do one for it not to explode carb would be most beiificial tho as it means future uypgrades will be easier (there will be future upgrades belive me)
Will it be hard to chnage it to a carb do i have to change the whole egine ?? cant i just get stiffer clutch springs and a new set of rollers to solve problem ?
is it possible to change a fuel injection modle for a cabr modle? by fitting a normal 70 kit, then just sticking a carb/reedblock where the air intake is? if it is then ill convert it for you memet if you want
how much are they mate, and can i just take the ecu off a normal carbed bike and attach that? then fit a normal 70 kit for a carbed bike and replace the air intake with a carb?
why fuck around changing it. he said he wants to keep it standard put the stock pipe on there will be a massive improvement
