Right so I have sorted out the endless list of problems and systematic part failure after acquiring my 2nd hand runner 200 st. It has had a constant vibration around 5-6k revs except after I get a service in which the mechanic tightens up the engine mounts (not exactly sure if it is one bolt or more than that) Every time I ride out of mechanics the vibration goes and bike feels great but consistently afterwards, as in 2-3 days later, the vibrations kicks back in. I have sorted out so many bits that have needed repairing and the last thing is this vibration I always get after getting it back after engine mount tightening. Is it in any way possible that after tightening it up it comes loose? And if that is a problem, can it be sorted with a specific component such as a spacer etc?
You might need to get it on it's stand, rev it up and check round to see where it's vibrating, have you lost the big spring on the silent block side that hold's the engine up?
Will look into that. Have tried to tighten both engine mount nuts but they (4 of them) are very tight so it is not that they are loose. It is only a minor vibration but it just feels odd. No mechanic has been able to figure it out or get what I am saying. I just get confused looks like I am making this up. You know when something just doesn't sound right to you but others can't hear it or feel it? It is awfully frustrating. I may just leave it. If one day I start it and it sounds worse I will pursue it. Is it common for there to be a little vibration when accelerating on a scooter or bike either a constant or specific rev range? ON my last nerve/pennies with maintaining/fixing this scooter in the 8 months I have had it.
