my gilera runner has been working fine recently until last night, all the way home it felt jumpy and like it was dying, now this morning it just wont start at all, i have checked the spark plug and that is working fine.

i am trying to start it on kickstart due to needing a new starter motor, but this is unrelated as i have not had a working electric start in a while now.

i waas just wondering if anyone had any ideas coz im sposed to be going to work soon haa

    cheers in advance people,

    jetticus

lemmi guess.. you took it to a shop, they fixed it in 5 mins then decided the belt was "gone" to up the charge a little LOL did you ask them to change the belt or get the thing running? :D

I'm sure im right in thinking the scoot would still start even though the belt is gone... but it just wouldn't go anywhere.

belt just connects the transmission to the clutch basically.
maybe a quick carb clean would have sorted it ;)
did you change the belt yourself? if not did they show you the snapped belt?
