Gilera Runner 50 Engine dies after it's warmed up & NO spark at plug

My 05 Gilera runner SP 50 which just had a full engine rebuild with ALL parts purchased from Pedparts e.g. Stage6 Pro Replica Crankshaft, Motoforce sport MKII 70cc cylinder kit, bearings, Crankshaft seals, gaskets, etc.

The scoot starts & runs for 5 mins lovely on tickover, until warmed up then just dies (not riden yet), it’s not fuel related, it has NO spark at the b/new plug, I now have a Spark Plug Tester Diagnostic Tool connected to the plug to check the spark whilst running.

Leave It for a few mins to slightly cool down then starts again & does a repeat of the above, iv’e done all the electrical tests as per Pedparts electrical test on their site, but all seem within allowances but I still suspect electrical but what? any ideas

I thought this was the UK's top scoot site for help, obviously not a lot of help or advice coming from people out there .

 

Unfortunately your a bit late to the party, lots of old members have moved on due to scooter ownership dropping, young people not wanting scooters etc. As for your scoot I'd try another cdi and stator plate.

 

Seems that way, so defo not the top uk site anymore then by all accounts, i'm sure theirs other better scoot forums out there to search. As for the scoot i have ordered a replacement CDI to try that 1st off.
