    Which pipe???
Looks like both from/to carb goes to the radiator flow
I've blocked mine off as pointless IMHO
If your bikes not liquid cooled then more likely a vacuum pipe

There are 3 pipes in the pic, its the one at the top of the 3, and this bike is liquid cooled

The two water hoses on the carb are for the thermostat by-pass, when the engine is cold the stat is closed but the engine is still pumping water round, it circulates water round the carb keeping it warm from freezing in the winter. There fitted for a reason and not pointless!

Ok, so where will the top pipe do to as I have one going from the carb to the plastic tube that the coolant hose connects to so cant see where the other one goes ?

Will go to the head coolant..
My opinion is there not needed and have found that nothing changes if not fitted but for peace of mind attach
You can see from my pics that I've bypassed mine completely and have had no issues what so ever in 4000 miles plus

You said in your post that you blocked them off! In fact you have bypassed the carb, that's fine as you still have flow from the head back to the bottom hose. After market carb's don't have the water pipes and that's what you would have to do. If the std carb is used I'd run the water hoses through it.
