    I have a 2002 gilera runner 180 with a pro street 2 kit

    brand new 180 belt
Malossi clutch red springs white contra
    25mm carb
    Mhr inlet
    Brand new 12.5g rollers
    Malossi cdi
    Pm59

the bike has no acceleration at all almost struggles then at about 20mph it unexpectedly kicks in nearly throwing you off

cant think what else to try played about with clutchs and contra springs

Have you re-jetted the carb to the suit the PM pipe?
And why has it got the 172 kit on it if it's a 180??

Im running a 102 main jet and 50 pilot jet doesnt seem to bog or splutter at all, i fitted the 172 kit as i believe there better for when tuning bikes due to ports and that? I could be wrong but its running alot better as a 172 than it did as a 180

The drive belts are different for 125 , 180cc so use the right one !

I brought the belt as a 180 belt from the shop is there a way to tell by part number or anything? It does kinda sound like belt slip or clutch slip as it doesnt struggle to rev just to pull off

Check on "Fowlers of Bristol" web site for part numbers.
