yup, cdi breakdown is down to the stator mostly.. maybe coil but not usually known for going. check/replace the rec to be safe...
Also worth checking all engine earths are connected well, as if not the engine trys to use the CDI connections as grounds which kills it...
yup just blew my 180 cdi too mine blew coz i turned ignition off while the bike was still moving and turned it bak on while it was moving stupid idea but didnt wana wake the neighbours up.
