ive just finished putting my engine back in my bike with brand new 172 kit , when i started it and ran it for a couple of minits it idle quite high, what could be the porblem , im guessing i need to raise the clip a knotch because when i fiddle around with the idle mix it did not do anything , unless ive got a hole in the rubber manifold which could be the problem 2 couldnt it . ps the carb is 28mm. cheers.

you sad idle mix not idle speed :bird:

middle notch is a good place to start i would have though

but doubt the needle postition would make it idle very high
