i have a 125vx 2007 model. Just bought it and it has been sitting for about a year without starting. I cleaned the carb and jets and installed a new plug with fresh gas. The bike turns over and has good compression. The carb is getting gas and the spark plug is getting wet. The spark plug is also sparking. I dont know if it is sparking strong enough but there is a spark. So why would this bike not start? It has gas, compression, and spark.... i see no reason it shouldnt start.

no the throttle is installed good. it opens all the way and when let go it returns to its closed position. ill try some easy start and see how it goes...i just saw no point since the plug was getting wet. If i chocked the carb it was actually flooding the cylinder with gas. Ill give it a try and see though. could start.

i tried the starter fluid and nothing....just keeps turning over
its not a fuel problem for sure/
the spark is kind of weak but should start like that.
also the engine has compression...what else could it be?

if the plugs wet with fuel youve more than likely flooded the engine...

for checking the timing your going to have to bite the bullet and buy a Haynes manual..

the spark is weak though so it might be the pick up coil in the motor. Is that where the coil gets current from?
