    Hello,

I am planning on purchasing a Gilera Runner 125cc in the coming weeks. I was planning on tuning the bike and purchasing these parts which were reccomended to me:

    Malossi 172 Kit.
    Dellorto 25ml Carb
    Malossi E13 Filter

Also what do I have to look for when purchasing a second hand bike

    Thanks
    George

Forget about the filter...will just waste fuel and not give you much of an increase..If you did buy a 25ml carb, you would have to buy an assortment of main jets, to set the carb up correctly.

If your planning on keeping the scooter easily drivable then you would need a gear-up kit..with this, the bike would see 95mph+ clock speed

For checking second hand bikes, check fork legs for traces of oil, engine for excessive play, check bearings and mileage...this is all just basic information

where to start withn a runner
check under the carb for cracks in the enifgoine, both exhaust mounting points, engine mounts as mentioned, caliper mount on the nrear, any bad fitting pannels as it usually means the frames bent. make sure the bike is cold nwhen you view it. usual's like tyres/forks.. there basicly rollin bodge jobs this far on as they have been out of production for over 5 years no so the untouched are few an far between

tbh if you dont pay top dollar off a normal guy you wont get a decent one. most bikes people buy are good, do the job but are like any other bike out there
