When I rotate my hub I can hear the gearbox whining!
I've tried everything I stripped it cleaned all the shafts and cogs made sure all the parts were correct for my gearbox (rolling nut type) oiled up everything put it back together rotated the hub and sounded smooth no whining.
Done side case up and the whining is back again!?? What could it be please help, below is a link to a video of the whining please help any suggestions welcome! Thank you in advance! :)

Some trannies just whine. I've done what you did, complete strip, changed ALL the bearings etc. No dice. I think it's the tolerances with the gears. If the bearings aren't lumpy when you turn them with your finger, cogs out, don't sweat it. Yours looks pretty fluid, despite the noise. My malossi gear up kit is great. The Polini gear up kit is very sticky. The Malossi whines , the Polini does not. Go figure.

Sound's pretty normal to me, most gearboxes whine when wheel is turned.is the intermediate gear on the input shaft on the same way it left factory? It may sound daft but it can be put on backward's, yes it will go on any way but if it's been run for years from new it need's to be fitted the same way! Year's ago I fitted a gear up kit to a GT 200, didn't improve much so re fitted std gear, it whined terrible until I turned it round.

The sand blasting was done on the casings before I bought it.
I bought it from a guy who had the casings flowed and sand blasted, however he never got around to using them so sold them.
The flowing and sand blasted was done by a 2 stroke tuner: MGT / Mario Gilera Tuning.
He has a work page on Facebook, look him up good guy and reasonable prices. image.jpg

nice work. Looks like theres been a bit of repair of the surfaces. Use good sealant when you rebuild. Not that blue shite.

I've actually already finished the build, and I actually did use some blue sealant didn't know it was of bad quality?
Looking to run the engine soon but want to sort out the whining noise out first though... So close but yet so far haha image.jpg

If you did it right it will be OK. But red CAFF is where it's at.
Nice looking block. Never seen cleaner!
